Layla

LAYLA is a beautiful, dark red chestnut mare, she was rescued in June 2021 from Oklahoma and is 13 years old (2024). 

Layla was sent to the Kill Lot because she was pregnant. She had been purchased as a recipient mare but upon her arrival to the recipient farm, it was learned that she was already in foal, so she was returned to the Kill Lot. 

She foaled a beautiful colt, Trooper, on March 3,2022. 

She has been restarted and is fun to ride. She is very safe and will make someone a wonderful equine partner.

Layla is available in our “Sponsor A Horse” program and would love to have her own person come out and play with her until she finds her forever home.
